ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship 2024 for Shotgun for 2024 Summer Olympics (Paris 2024) to Kick Off Saturday

Doha, April 19 (QNA) - The ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship 2024 for shotgun for the 2024 Summer Olympics (Paris 2024) are set to kick off at Lusail Shooting Range and will run until April 28.

The championship features the participation of shooters that will break the record in the history of this game which reached 433 male and female shooters representing 82 countries.

The competitions will be held in Skeet and Trap shooting contests, with seven shooters representing the Qatari team with three shooters and one female shooter in Skeet contest, along with three shooters in Trap shooting who earnestly aspire to win a number of qualification cards. Also, shooters who have not yet decided on their qualification for the Paris Olympics will also participate in the aforementioned tournament.

The official trainings for Trap shooting contest will be held on Saturday, while the official competitions for the same game will kick off on Sunday to continue for three days.

The Skeet contest will kick off on Wednesday through holding unofficial trainings followed by official training in the next day. The competitions will kick off on Friday to continue for three days.

The ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship 2024 for shotgun is one of the major tournaments in terms of participation and the last chance for counties and shooters to obtain the qualification card for 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The championship affords four cards in the Trap, two cards for men and two cards for women, along with four cards in Skeet with two cards for men and two cards for women.

The tournament will witness 15 referees from Qatar and other countries. (QNA)
